Trostatik is a host for static sites only. Your files are uploaded to Amazon Web Services (AWS), in something called an S3 Bucket. This provides affortable storage. A content delivery network (CDN), called CloudFront, is then used to distribute your files to servers near your users, secured with a TLS certificate for HTTPS.

You can do all these steps yourself using AWS or another CDN like Cloudfront. Or, use Trostatik to get the same result without the headaches.

Static sites simply serve files to users. These files are typically HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and media (e.g. images and videos). Static sites do not have databases or any programs, but they can use external services such as Firebase.

Prices are determined by the TLD (top-level domain), such as ".com" or ".io". Each TLD has a central registry that sets its wholesale price. A full list of Trostatik's domain pricing shows the price for each TLD.

Hosting and TLS certificates are included in the Trostatik price.

Example: .com domains cost $39/year and .co domains cost $56/year.
